Hello!
My name is Linda Tran and welcome to my graphic design portfolio! I'm attending graphic design in Garden Grove High School this summer to make various types of art using technology. Also to obtain UC credits so I may complete one of my requirements to graduate high school. It's better to be ahead than be behind! This course has taught me many things so far such as how to use adobe products like Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, and Flash. I'm not well experienced with computers and computer programs so I hope this class will make me much better at it.
About me.
My full name is Linda Minh Tran and I was born on November 21, 1996. I'm currently fourteen years old and the second oldest out of four kids. I grew up mainly in Westminster but moved to Garden Grove around seventh grade. I'm now an upcoming sophomore at La Quinta High School, class of 2014. I haven't really been out of California except to Florida when I was little however, I would love to go to France someday to visit my uncle and cousins. During my spare time, I like listening to music, watching TV, and hanging out with friends. I enjoy almost any kind of genre of music except my favorite is rock and alternative rock and my least favorite is rap and K-pop. I mostly watch television for the movies but occasionally for the shows. I also like to watch Anime and Korean Dramas sometimes on TV but mostly online. I'm an outdoor person so I like to travel and see new places and experience new things. I usually go out to the park with my friends and the mall with my family.
Education.
Since I was little, I've attended Post Elementary from kindergarten 'til sixth grade, focusing on school and reading books. After that I went to James Irvine Intermediate for seventh and eighth. During that time I was involved in activities such as AVID, Yearbook, and After School Sports. I now plan to stay at La Quinta High School for all four of my high school years. Freshman year I was involved in clubs like Kiwins and Pink Ribbon. I was also in track and field hurdles. Academic wise, I just took it easy and had six classes instead of seven(in which I would of had World History). This time when school starts again, I plan to take more classes, be in more clubs, and be more involved in school activities. More is better!
Hobbies.
Whenever there's break from school I would read. Ever since elementary I would always read when I had time, mostly in the summer. I enjoy reading any kind of genre whether it's fantasy, science fiction, romance, or comedy. However I especially like to read mysteries. My favorite book would have to be the Nancy Drew Series because it never left me bored and was very addicting. Another hobby would be baking desserts. Baking is really fun though I have a difficult time baking from scratch. I usually bake when friends come over or when holidays or special occasions come up. It's really fun to make something and then share it with family and friends. In the future, I want to be able to bake a variety of desserts and pastries from multiple cultures. Including to that, I've had an interest in the works of photography. Mostly simple pictures of objects or sceneries interest me the most. Whenever I go out, I like to take photos and keep them in my photo album. I hope to travel the world, taking pictures of the most beautiful places with just one click of my camera. -"The most fascinating places are the hardest to find."
